NFL Roundup: Broncos Edge Hapless Jets in Low-Scoring Affair

During a defensive struggle this weekend, the Denver Broncos clinched a 13-11 victory over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix threw an early touchdown pass and specialist Wil Lutz provided the game-winning decisive three-pointer to seal the ugly win.

Dominant Performance Wins Game

Despite registering nine sacks versus Jets quarterback Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 after conceding a two-point play in the third quarter. Remarkably, the Jets could only produce just 82 total net yards throughout the contest.

Nix, who went 19 of 30 attempts for 174 yards, led a critical 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's short field goal with just over five minutes left.

Historic Difficulties for Jets Attack

Despite their horrendous offensive display, the Jets still had possession with a chance to drive for a potential victory. But Fields was tackled on fourth down from the Denver 44 after head coach Aaron Glenn opted to attempt the conversion instead of sending out specialist Nick Folk for a long kick.

Fields struggled all game, completing just 9 of 17 passes for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the fewest in any contest since 1998.

"Our passing game was non-existent," Glenn stated following the contest.
