Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft flying near a crowded coastal shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, eventually losing altitude and crashing into a cluster of palm trees as onlookers looked on.
Footage shared on social media depict the aircraft beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the coast, where it becomes wedged between palm trees and a staircase close to the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders said five people were transported to a medical facility including a pair who were in the aircraft and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the incident on that day.
Three people on the street were injured. Specifics on their wounds were not immediately available.
What led to the incident was not yet disclosed.
